Description:
The project called for an extensive interior and exterior renovation to the existing Martin Luther King Jr. Transit Center for the City of Compton, CA. Villarruel Architects, Inc. was selected to provide design and construction management services to complete the improvements required by the City's General Services Department. The existing building functions as a multi-tenant facility containing the Metro Blue Line, Greyhound office, Compton Chamber of Commerce and various other tenants. Renovations were done to the restrooms, lighting, tile finishes, new fire and intrusion alarm system, interior wall re-configurations, landscaping, complete parking lot restriping including accessible path of travel, and interior and exterior painting throughout.
